The four-kilometre Rottenstein farm trail is fascinating and popular. It leads through lush, flowering mountain meadows and shady woodland, and past stone walls that were painstakingly built by local farmers. And an additional reward for hikers is the fantastic view across the valley.
The Upper Drau Valley bee trail is an exciting destination for family outings; it is one kilometre in length and includes eight “experience stations”, where visitors can learn all there is to know about the mysteries and activities of these insects that are so important to nature.
Cyclists can join the Drau Cycle Path in the municipality of Steinfeld. The path leads for 366 kilometres from Conca di Dobbiaco in Italy, through East Tyrol and Carinthia, finishing up near Maribor in Slovenia.
